NIGERIAN OWNED REGISTERED FIRMS
As a locally registered firm in Nigeria with complete CAC registration documentation and significant Nigerian ownership, it is essential to understand the necessity of registration with the Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria (CIPEN). This registration, divided into six categories, each with its unique Band from A-G, is a crucial step for business registration. The categorization is based on the type of Business, while the Business Value determines the Banding. Firms are required to provide all the requirements for this process.

FOREIGN REGISTERED OFFSHORE FIRMS
A firm is designated a Foreign or Offshore firm when its complete registration is offshore. The Managing Director/CEO is a non-Nigeria or both, and such a firm must show evidence of having complied with the requirements of the Nigerian Content Act in all its ramifications. Such disclosures must be made with the highest degree of honesty. It is crucial to be aware of the requirement for registration with the Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria (CIPEN). This registration is divided into six categories, each with its unique Band from A-C. The categorisation is based on the type of Business, while the Business Value determines the Banding. Firms are mandated to provide all the requirements for this process.
