NIGERIAN OWNED REGISTERED FIRMS

As a locally registered firm in Nigeria with complete CAC registration documentation and significant Nigerian ownership, it is essential to understand the necessity of registration with the Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria (CIPEN). This registration, divided into six categories, each with its unique Band from A-G, is a crucial step for business registration. The categorization is based on the type of Business, while the Business Value determines the Banding. Firms are required to provide all the requirements for this process.

  2. CAC Certificate of Registration
  3. Company Brochure
  4. Boards & Management Members Requirement. 
    - Curriculum Vitae of Power System Engineers on the Board and Management of the Firm.
    - CIPEN Practice License of Power System Engineers on the Board & Management Cadre.
    - CIPEN Annual Practicing of Power System Engineers on the Board & Management Cadre
  5. Evidence of Payment of Application fee as applicable
  6. CAC Forms C02, C07 and CAC Annual Return Form No 10
  7. Tax Clearance Certificates.

FOREIGN REGISTERED OFFSHORE FIRMS

A firm is designated a Foreign or Offshore firm when its complete registration is offshore. The Managing Director/CEO is a non-Nigeria or both, and such a firm must show evidence of having complied with the requirements of the Nigerian Content Act in all its ramifications. Such disclosures must be made with the highest degree of honesty. It is crucial to be aware of the requirement for registration with the Chartered Institute of Power Engineers of Nigeria (CIPEN).
