PERSONNEL MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION & LICENCE ACTIVATION PROCESS

Step 2. Visit the registration portal.

Go to Registration Portal

Step 3. Select “Personnel” from the Membership Type dropdown menu.
Enter your full name, email address, mobile number, and password, then click Sign Up.

Step 4. Verify your email address by clicking the verification link sent to your email.

Step 5. Log in and proceed to the next page to complete your personal and professional details.

Step 6. Proceed to the document upload section and upload your relevant document such as the underlisted.

  • Passport photograph
  • Valid ID card
  • Educational Credentials
  • O’level result
  • Higher Institution certificates
  • NYSC Certificate
  • COREN certificate (if available)
  • NSE certificate (if available)
  • Other relevant certificates
  • Detailed Work Experience Profile (DWEP)

Ensure it is signed and stamped by your HR or a Senior-level Officer.

Step 7. Proceed to pay the Application Fee.

Step 8. Await application review and approval (approximately 3–5 working days).

Step 9. After approval, proceed to make the Membership Registration Fee.

Step 10. Await assignment of your Membership Number, then download the Membership Notification Letter.

Step 11. Proceed to License Activation by making the required payment.

Step 12. Download the License Notification Letter.


FIRM REGISTRATION & LICENCE ACTIVATION PROCESS

Step 1. Review the firm registration requirements.

Step 2. Review the categories of corporate firms to determine the appropriate category and subcategories.

A firm can only choose one (1) main Category (Contracting, Consulting, Manufacturing, Services, Maintenance, or Vendors)
and is entitled to register for a maximum of three (3) subcategories.

Step 3. Visit the registration portal.

Go to Registration Portal

Step 4. Select “Nigerian Firm” or “Foreign Firm” from the Membership Type dropdown menu, based on ownership.

Step 5. Enter the company name, company email address, company mobile number, and password.

Step 6. Click Sign Up to proceed.

Step 7. Verify the company email address by clicking the verification link sent to the email.

Step 8. Log in and complete the firm’s information.

Provide details of CIPEN-licensed Power System Engineers on the Board, Management, and within the firm.
Select the firm category and up to three (3) subcategories based on specialization.

Step 9. Proceed to the document upload section.

Step 10. Upload the required documents, such as.

  • CAC Certificate
  • Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC)
  • Company Brochure (must include completion certificates)
  • CAC Forms CO2 and CO7
  • CAC Annual Return Form (Form 10)
  • Other relevant certificates

Step 11. Proceed to pay the Application Fee.

Step 12. Await application review and approval (approximately 3–5 working days).

Step 13. After approval, proceed to pay the License Activation Fee.

Step 14. Await assignment of the Firm License Number, then download the License Notification Letter.
